If I could give this location zero stars, I would. This location is conveniently placed inside the Akins Collision center office where they automatically get customers handed to them based on body work repair. Please heed this advice - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! ANYWHERE ELSE! We had two incidents of negligence take place that were completely avoidable.
Once we received the call to come pick up vehicle it was at the end of the day when they close to closing, we were issued a vehicle that smelled of cigarette smoke so bad that it made my husband and I nauseated and gave us both severe headaches. When we called the next day, they again told us that they did not have any vehicles on site and that we would need to drive to Athens to exchange. Unacceptable. It wasn't until 3pm that they had a different vehicle for us to pick up.
Two days later we were coming back from a 5k on the other side of town and we were pulled over in our rental vehicle for an EXPIRED TAG! Seriously people, you have one job! You rent cars. Make sure your vehicles are street legal. I emailed the regional manager yet again and all I got was a lousy oopsie were sorry, and we will bring you an updated tag - TWO DAYS LATER!

I have the up most respect for the girls that work there at Hertz rental. They always have a smile on there face and welcome me with everything already to go, paper work printed out, car cleaned ready to go and pulled up for me. I couldn't ask for a better place to rent cars from!
Always a very pleasant experience at this location! I rent a lot of vehicles from Hertz all over the U.S. So I know the good and bad. These ladies are top-notch; they always greet you with a smile. Sure you might have to wait an extra five minutes or so but this is a small location with usually two employees working at a time. If you're not patient enough to wait five minutes then nobody can help you!
The employees at this location do not know what they are doing. The regional manager is not much help either. The first incident occured upon renting our initial vehicle. They made a point to tell us that they didn't have any cars on site and that they would have to get one from their Athens location.
