I guess you can tell, I like this place alot.
Excellent place of course to shop and save. Most of their products are organics, very freshly and reasonable.
They sell almond milk for $1.99 and have apparently forced Walmart to come down from the close to $3 they were charging. Their chocolates are absolutely delicious...I am not a chocolate person but when I go I must get the plain dark chocolate bar, it melts in your mouth and is the creamiest mass produced dark chocolate I have ever tasted. It is a large size and less than $2.
Love Aldi!! Love the prices, the selection, the employees! I hate shopping anywhere else!
They do sell big packages of Splenda and Stevia here for less than $4, I have not seen similar size packages anywhere else for less than $6. Coconut oil, olive oil, spices, breads, meats, cheese, produce, coffee, pasta, sauces, detergents...everything. You can get four mini heads of artesenal lettuce for $1.99, at Ingles the same package/brand costs you $4.
This is a good store. It's always clean and they have a good turnover of food items, so things are always fresh. There are enough staff to keep registers open as needed, so checkout is usually very quick. Prices can not be beat. Good selection of foods and fun weekly or seasonal special items at great prices.
Their Winking Owl brand of wine is the only brand under $3 (?!?!?!) that I find drinkable, and, it's actually a decent wine to wash down some Chinese and pizza with (the Merlot is my favorite but the cab and Shiraz are not bad either). I will usually buy three bottles for a two week period and not even spend $10. They have a large variety of other brands for less than $10 a bottle. They have a nice selection of beers as well at some savings.
Also, they sell some pretty nice home/kitchen/bathroom items. They had a good deal on a charcoal barrel type grill over the summer (I think $70).
This location is always neat and clean. Aldi products (i.e. the brands they normally sell) are usually delicious and of high quality. I think they stopped selling foods with artificial color and trans fat, or something to that effect, you can look it up. Their canned solid white tuna is better than any other brand I have tasted.
Good prices, unfriendly service. Must be a corporate thing to have cashiers be miserable---they were the same in Virginia
