Great for family picnics. You can rent boats and enjoy the serenity of being out on the lake. There's also a campground that sits right by the lake. Its a place to wind down from our everyday lives.

We've rented yurts two Thanksgivings in a row. The yurts are clean, well maintained, and homey. They sleep 6 people, and come with paddles and life jackets for canoeing (an extra charge, but well worth the money). I highly recommend them, even in the cooler months.

Nice place. Great bike trails. Great beach area during the summer season. Wonderful camping. Been going there for decades. Highly recommended.

The park itself is beautiful and I really struggled with writing this review, but I'm hoping that a family doesn't have the same experience that my family had there about a month ago. We were staying on a lake front site in the tent area that sits right in front of the host. There was some sort of argument that transpired while we were there, which led to loud obscenities, screaming, and arguing. This is our second time staying here and the same hosts were here both times. I'm not sure what a hosts duties consist of, but what I do know is that they are very loud and rowdy, the restrooms in their area are never clean, and their RV has trash and other items everywhere. While I usually never require the assistance of a host, I would be hesitant to even knock on their door for anything. I really hope that Fort Yargo starts screening their hosts better, because it is our family's favorite park.

Such an amazing place to visit! The adventure cabin was better than any hotel and the beautiful surroundings are unbelievable! Can't wait to come back and stay in a yurt!
