Melinda Williams needs to be ousted -- she has been there since the Jurassic Age and does nothing to move her dept forward or improve customer service
It is ridiculously hard to contact anyone to inquire on an expired tag, even a 5 second question consist of calling continuously and trying with no avail to speak to a human. Any other county I have called has always been a smooth process even if the administrator may not be the most chipper!
So here I sit three hours drive away, needing to pay Mom's taxes and unable to contact the Tax Commissioner. In the past their response was prompt and helpful but not now when I really need their help. Gale Landress Seibert, former resident, daughter of former Mayor Bill Landress. Not only does the web site not provide a way to pay-online although it leads one to believe this with the words: pay taxes.

of course, if u mail it in, it takes forever to find out if your payment has posted; been a week and still no word, no check went thru yet
Terrible. In this age of wonderful technology, trying to pay my mother's taxes online has proven to be impossible.

When I have called over the last three weeks I have been asked to leave a message. I have and no one has returned my call.
Hopefully you won't become a skeleton while waiting and hoping that someone in this God awful office answers the phone. SO unprofessional. FIND MONEY IN THE BUDGET TO HIRE SOMEONE TO MAN THE PHONES PEOPLE~!!!

Oh my god I've been calling these people all day long not one time have they answered the phone. The voicemail says they close at 5 o'clock I get up there at 4:38 and there's a sign on the door that says we close at 4:30 sorry for the inconvenience or some BS like that is awful customer service how my supposed to get any information out of these people
